First Two Lessons

The past two Saturdays I had my first 2 golf lessons ever.  It was a lot of fun.

Lesson #1:
Reviewed basic golf etiquette and terminology
Talked about handicap, par
Went onto the putting green and tried to hit the itty bitty ball into the itty bitty hole

Lesson #2:
Drove a golf cart around
Visited a hole and watched some people play
Talked about penalties
Went to the driving range and practiced hitting with a driver and 9 iron

What did I learn:
The 9 iron is the one with the little 9 on it  :)  Pretty sure I already knew this one!
If I hit the ball, it tends to go straight, so that is good!

I am so enthusiastic about this that I signed us up for another set of 5 lessons.  They will begin in May.

Just for giggles, I bought a hybrid club from Golf Galaxy on Tuesday for my neices.  They say they want to play too!  It only cost $8, so it was a steal!

I also grabbed one of the two books I have to reread again.  I figure that each time I learn more, I will be able to refine one more thing.  And these books are such easy reads - mostly pictures.  It takes no time at all to go through it!
